A love of fashion from a very early age, led me into a modelling career in my early twenties. I attended a traditional Modelling Academy; we were taught the importance of posture (which included walking up and down stairs with books on our heads…) how to catwalk model, hair and make-up techniques and good grooming tips! It was a lot of fun and I continued to model until my imminent baby daughter made her presence felt on my body -straight away in my pregnancy I lost my waistline! I returned to modelling briefly when she was 6 months old, which later led me into Sales, Marketing and Business Development. This became a very successful career for me for over 20 years. But something was missing from my life…… Then in 2007, I spotted an interesting advertisement in Psychologies Magazine – ‘Train to be a Style Coach™’. I loved their concept of working with people on their inner and outer images and the prospect of one-to-one working and being able to potentially make a difference to an individuals’ life, sounded so rewarding.
I qualified in 2008 and subsequently became an Accredited Member of the IASC (International Association of Style Coaches). This allows me to stay up to date with new trends and the most effective ways of working. It also makes me part of a worldwide forum group who are so incredibly supportive.
